With Apple's news-filled WWDC and trying to figure out what to get your dad for Father's Day, you may have missed some of this week's best new apps.

Each weekend, we round up a few of our favorite new and updated apps. This week's list includes an app to help kids learn the basics of coding, a finance-tracking app and a game where you help a jellyfish escape the depths of the ocean.

  Box Island is an educational game that  aims to teach the basics of programming through gameplay. It's geared toward kids but it's an entertaining learning tool for anyone who wants to start dabbling in code.

  BurstKey

  Making a GIF can seem like a difficult process if you aren't sure how to do it, especially if you want to do it with your own video footage. BurstKey makes it easy by tapping into your camera on iOS and using its burst photo feature to easily make a shareable GIF. It also comes with a keyboard feature so you can easily acess your GIFs while you type.

  Flogg

  Most online buying and selling services are pretty open to strangers, which may not be desirable for those who would rather their stuff go to someone they know. Flogg allows you to build a network of friends (and friends of friends) you can buy and sell from. The app will serve up personalized recommendations based on what you may be interested and you can also suggest items to your friends.

  Lemon

  Making you aware of your spending and saving habits is the goal of Lemon, which is short for "learn money." Hook up your bank accounts to track what you spend and get notifications about when charges will occur and when you have new transactions. Lemon will also offer up deals for products you might like based on your previous spending habits.

  Public allows anyone with an iPhone to view or host public conversations. Start a conversation with friends and open it up to the world or watch other users chat about music, politics, sports and more.

  Whodini is a messaging app with a twist. When you send a message to a friend, they only have 45 seconds to open it before your identity will be hidden from them. If they do catch it in time, you'll know that they saw your name.
