Justin Bieber finally got the face tattoo we knew in our hearts was inevitable

Is it too late now to say, "Don't do that, Justin?"

Yes, it is. Bieber has shocked absolutely no one by getting a tattoo on his beautiful face — a tiny cross by his eye. At least it's not the name Selena or Selena Gomez' face on his face. Unlike some of his other questionable experiments with style, this is permanent. 

You might have hoped that the ink is just a drawing, but it seems to be the real deal.

"Yes, I did tattoo a small cross near the corner of Justin's eye," tattoo artist Jonathan "JonBoy" Valena told E! News. "It was a representation of his faith in Jesus and his journey with finding purpose in God." A pretty solid explanation for a cross tattoo. 

Bieber is a fan of making statements with his ink. In the era of the surprise album drop, he announced his album title a month in advance by getting it tattooed on his abs. 

Beliebers knew this might be coming, but just not this soon. When asked if he'd ever get a face tattoo, he told GQ, "Maybe when I’m really old, not super old, but maybe, like, 40s or 50s or something. One above my eyebrow or something small.”

Goodbye to this pre-ink face. We will never see it again.
